I3DETROIT IS METRO DETROIT’S LARGEST COMMUNITY-RUN DIY WORKSHOP. A COLLISION OF ART, TECHNOLOGY, LEARNING, AND COLLABORATION. WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BUILD, YOU CAN DO IT HERE.
MIT’s makersystem includes makerspaces tailored for entrepreneurship, the arts, class projects, metal working, wood working, glass working, micro/nano making, unrestricted use, etc. There are many spaces throughout the campus.
It’s a gym for geeks and creative people. Instead of free weights and dumbbells we have 3d printers, CNC machines, and a wood/metal shop to build and create in.
